My name is (who?)

My name is ____________

Sorry to interrupt your regular scheduled blogger but I will be taking over her space for the next couple of minutes.

I finally made some wings yayyy!!!!! Oops I say that like you already know the history of the wings. 5 years ago, I witnessed a friend who could not even fry an egg whip up some to-die-for wings and yes it has taken me all this time but it was worth it. My craft has become better through the laziness obviously but here we are!

Fun Fact: If you cannot fry an egg then you definitely cannot cook as it is written somewhere in the chef bible. Anyway, back to the WINGS.

* Prep time — 10 to 30 minutes (This can take a shorter time but I was distracted 🤦🏾‍♀️ )

  • Wings
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Vinegar
  • Soy Sauce
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Half a Lemon
  • Salt

* Cooking time — 15 minutes (the times will change as you read I honestly was not counting)

Boil the wings. (Yesssssss, BOIL!) Boil the wings with the garlic, salt and ginger to get rid of that nasty chicken smell and give it some FLAVOR. Dry and shape the wings then marinate them in a soy sauce, lemon and salt (Not too much because salt is bad for your health… you know the song) mix. At this point, they were supposed to be in the freezer for 20 mins but then I was summoned to Her Majesty’s Secret Duties so I left home and went to my grandparents and returned 45 mins later took the wings out and they looked amazing.

The oil is supposed to be some degrees I cannot remember but just make sure it’s hot enough to fry but not too hot to start a mess. Gently toss those bad boys into the oil and let them cook until they’re golden brown. The finished product will look something like this.

I almost forgot chicken is the deadliest of meats while raw so better prep with gloves or wash your hands after every encounter because E.coli is real. (sounds like an electronic car)

Now, let’s baste these wings shall we? Pour in the BBQ Sauce and a teaspoon of vinegar mix then let it simmer at a really low heat and add the mix to the wings.

Place the wings on a pan wrapped with heavy-duty foil then put them in the preheated oven at 150 degrees for 10–15 mins (I think this creates the sticky texture and gets them cooked all the way through just in case you fumbled the bag in the first steps).

And VIOLA!!!!!!!!!!!

Wingardium Leviosa!

Yours Timelessly,

Wings

Another fun fact: Wings were an accidental creation in 1964, so I guess that explains why the man who could not fry an egg excelled at this, tuh!
